A recent wedding had Rose Photo traveling to photograph the fine details of the day at the historic Maple Street Chapel. The church is a landmark recognized by the region for it's American Gothic design and was built in 1870. We were blown away with all the details this gem of antiquity boasts. At first breath, the pine floors eminate history. The soft light that fills through the simple elegance of the stain glass windows fills the chapel with with warmth as the wedding party files in. Once used as the main place of worship for it's congregation, Maple Street now is host to only special occasions as wedding, concerts and unique programs.
The celebration of Kelly + Anthony tying the knot was one such very special occasion. Their bridal party, friends + family filled the quaint chapel with much excitement and joy for the couples' nuptials. From the ceremony, we ventured to the incredible lilac filled gardens of Lilacia Park just across the street from the antique chapel. Dodging prom parties and baby strollers, we had a good time making the bridal parties portraits in the stunning lilac trimmed gardens. From well preserved Illinois history to sweet giggles in the park and then onto a class act reception at the near by Dury Lane, Kelly + Anthony's crew was kind, the details elegantly simple and the love of the day perfectly captured. Thank you for including us in your celebration. We can't wait to share the rest of these photographic gems but for now, enjoy this sneak peak!
